Welcome
Piano Learning Center (PLC) is the private piano teaching studio of Christine Wilson Kissack in the greater Portland, Maine area.
She offers experienced piano instruction and performance opportunities to school age students.
Students benefit from a well-balanced program of musical activities designed to strengthen music theory and keyboard technique while developing creative and performance skills.
Group lessons and recitals are offered three times each academic year and provide valuable performance opportunities for students. The group lesson environment promotes broader understanding and increased motivation not to mention the fun of learning with friends! Regularly scheduled performance opportunities provide goals to strive for and encourage students to share their music with others.
This comprehensive approach provides Piano Learning Center students with a solid musical foundation upon which to build a lifetime of music making.

Summer Term 2025
Christine will be teaching on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6/17/25 to 08/20/25. You choose the number of lessons you’d like. Contact her to arrange lesson days and times!
Fall Term 2025
Fall Term lessons begin on Monday, 9/8/25.
Indigenous People’s Day is Monday, 10/13/25 - No lessons on this day.
Group Lesson Week is Tuesday-Friday, 11/17/25-11/20/25. Group Lesson days and times to be determined.
Rehearsal for PLC Fall Recital - Date and time to be determined. It will most likely to be held at the Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot Street, Freeport, ME 04032.

Spring Term 2026
Spring Term lessons begin on Monday, 1/5/26.
MLK Day is Monday 1/19/26 - There will be lessons on this day.
Group Lesson Week will be two weeks before the recital. Group Lesson days and times to be determined.
February School Vacation is the week of 2/16/26 - 2/20/26. No regular lessons will be held during this break, only makeup lessons. Please contact Christine if you have a makeup lesson to schedule.
Christine will not be teaching Monday, 3/23/26 through Wednesday, 3/25/26. She will be attending The Music Teachers National Association Conference in Chicago.
